Graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). She completed her PhD and Post-Doctorate in Sciences at the University of São Paulo School of Medicine (FMUSP). She is currently the Scientific Researcher in charge of the USP Biobank - Academic Cancer Research Network, located at the Center for Translational Research in Oncology at the São Paulo State Cancer Institute (ICESP). He has extensive experience in Molecular and Cellular Biology, with an emphasis on tumors of the central nervous system. She conducts studies involving mutations and genetic polymorphisms (sequencing, PCR-SSCP), gene expression (microarray, qRT-PCR) and protein expression (Western blotting). She has carried out research in the area of Molecular Cancer Epidemiology, with a focus on gastric cancer and the Japanese-Brazilian population, at the Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention Division of Nagoya Cancer Hospital in Aichi, Japan.
